How ready are your reconciliation letters for the season?
Eight questions — from counterparty data to the signed copy. At the end: your readiness level and four-dimension profile, free.
This self-assessment borrows the external-confirmation vocabulary of ISA 505 as adopted in Türkiye (BDS 505) — positive and negative confirmation requests, exceptions, non-responses — to describe the company-side reconciliation-letter process. The levels and scoring are iFinances' own; ISA 505 defines no maturity scale. A company's own reconciliation letters are a management control activity and do not replace confirmations obtained directly by the auditor.
The result is computed from two questions in each of four dimensions (Counterparty Data and Authority, Balance Evidence Chain, Response and Exception Handling, Timing and Continuity). Each question scores 0–3; a dimension score is expressed on a 0–100 scale and the overall score is the weighted sum of the dimensions (counterparty 20%, evidence chain 30%, response and exceptions 30%, timing 20%). The four levels (Seasonal, Routine, Documented, Continuous) are iFinances' own scale; the external-confirmation vocabulary of ISA 505, adopted in Türkiye as BDS 505, is used as terminology only, and the standard itself defines no maturity scale. This tool is a self-assessment: it is not an audit, it does not replace the independent auditor's own external-confirmation procedures, and it is not a rating or certification service and issues no rating grade. It has no affiliation with, endorsement by, or recognition from KGK, IFAC or IAASB. Answers are self-reported and unverified.
